IOWA MANUFACTURING 4.0 GRANT

Know what you're asking for before you ask for it

Iowa will cover up to $75,000 of a technology investment against a 1:1 match. The assessment request form will not let you submit without naming the technology you want.

This is the conversation that gets you to that answer.

30 minutes. No assessment, no pitch.
We will get back to you within one business day.

Two deadlines, and the first one is the one that matters

November 20, 2026 3 to 4 weeks later About 2 weeks after Jan 4 to 29, 2027
Last day to request the required CIRAS assessment. No assessment, no application. Onsite CIRAS assessment at your facility, about three hours. Your tailored report arrives. It becomes a key part of your application. Application window on iowagrants.gov. Scored competitively.

CIRAS confirms anyone who requests by November 20 will have their report before applications open.
A late request does not strand you. It does leave you twenty-five days in January to scope, quote, finance, and write.

We don't administer this grant

We are not IEDA and we are not CIRAS. We cannot approve your application, we cannot perform your assessment, and we cannot get you an extension on anything.

What we do is the part in the middle. Forty-five years in Iowa plants and ag facilities, working out which technologies are actually worth the match dollars in a specific operation, and what the problem is costing in the first place.

What the call is

  • A look at what you are running and what it is costing you
  • A straight read on which items from the state's eligible list fit your floor
  • Help putting a defensible number on the problem, which is what CIRAS asks you to bring
  • An honest answer if the thing you are excited about is not the right project

What the call is not

  • An assessment
  • A grant writing service
  • A sales pitch for anything
  • Thirty minutes of us talking

You leave with two things you can use immediately

An answer for the request form

An answer for the request form

The CIRAS form asks what technology you are considering and will not accept a blank. You will have something real to put there.

Your arithmetic done

Your arithmetic done

CIRAS asks manufacturers to bring numbers on expected impact to the onsite visit. Cost savings, productivity, labor, quality. Most plant managers cannot produce those on the spot, not because they do not know their operation, but because nobody has ever needed it written down. You will walk into that three hour visit with it written down.

Worth 30 minutes if this sounds familiar

  • You run an Iowa manufacturing operation with somewhere between 3 and 124 full-time employees
  • There is a line, a process, or a system that costs you real money and you have put off fixing it on budget
  • You have looked at the state's eligible technology list and cannot tell which half of it applies to you
  • You are not sure whether the software you have in mind even qualifies, and you would rather find out now than at reimbursement

If you are outside the headcount band or under three years in operation, this program is not open to you, and we will tell you that on the call rather than after it.

Request the assessment before November 20

Whether or not you talk to us, get the CIRAS request in. That is the step with the hard deadline and no way around it.

If you want a second set of eyes first, we have time this week.
